The monk is an enlightened warrior, able to transcend many of the bodily limits that hamper most others. They are typically from one order or another and have an affinity for the strict procedures that such an order imparts on them.
They despise most tradional armor, finding that it gets in the way of their ability to perfect their inner self. Which is something that they dedicate their lives to. Most have an amazing ability to manipulate their own energies and that of others, which they refer to simply as ‘ki’, in profound ways, especially as they grow wiser. Most monks dedicate themselves to a particular emphasis of ki, following one of: The Way of The Fist, The Way of The Shadow, or The Way of The Elements.
Some monks are known to use small weapons, almost as if they were an extension of themselves. Others prefer the feel of battle and thus limit themselves to using their bare hands. All monks are experts at using their body as a weapon. Some are very quick, using their dexterity in combat to both hit and deal damage, others are very strong and benefit from a higher strength stat.
